This June I joined a group of dedicated teachers, administrators, business reps and community leaders to explore experiential learning opportunities in our community.   The experience underscored our belief that the greater Madison area is rich with expertise and innovative learning experiences for students.  Our challenge is to find the best way to provide access and connect learners with the talent and experiences right in our own community.  WeThinkBig will continue to explore and build relationships between the education, business and entire community to discover how connected learning can best benefit learners.

WeThinkBig CEO Kathe Crowley Conn joined MMSD Educators and Community leaders for a visit to Epic Systems to discuss community partnerships and opportunities for student experiential learning in health care fields.  The visit was part of MMSD’s Personalized Pathways preparation, where staff, business and community partners explored connections to enhance student learning. The GuidEd event was organized by MMSD, Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce and the Workforce Development Board of South Central Wisconsin.
